A Comprehensive Breast Health Center
The Sullivan Center for Breast Health has been granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. The Sullivan Center achievement of NAPBC accreditation demonstrates a firm commitment to offer its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.
The Sullivan Center is the only facility in the Washington DC area to have three accreditations by the American College of Radiology, the American College of Surgeons and the Commission on Cancer.
Only a comprehensive breast health center such as Sibley's organizes multidisciplinary services into a fully integrated system of care. Breast imaging, breast cancer and breast reconstruction surgery, radiation oncology, physical therapy and other key teams collaborate closely to ensure the well-being of each patient. Our National Consortium of Breast Centers certified CBPN Nurse Navigator is available to guide patients through what might be an unfamiliar and often anxiety producing process.
The American College of Radiology (ACR) recognizes breast imaging centers that achieve excellence by seeking and earning accreditation in all of the ACR's voluntary breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program. This designation, administered by the ACR's Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission on Breast Imaging, recognizes a center's dedication to improving women's health by participating in these rigorous quality assurance programs.
