The Risks of Untreated Hearing Loss

Have you considered what may happen if you put off getting hearing aids? Hearing loss has been linked to increases in dementia, depression and the likelihood of falls. Today’s evidence consistently points to the need for all people to take their hearing health seriously. Learn more about the effects of hearing loss on your quality of life.
Lauren K. Dickstein, Au.D., CCC/A, is the senior audiologist at Sibley Memorial Hospital where she has been employed since 2005. Dr. Dickstein received her Au.D. at A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences. She believes in empowering her patients to be their own advocates and helping them to achieve their communication goals. Dr. Dickstein is licensed in the District of Columbia and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
