Demystifying Technology

04/30/13

Feeling overwhelmed by technology? Disconnected and in the dark when the conversation turns to computers, the Internet and all things digital? Whether you are new to the Internet or an active user, join us as we explore the mysteries of today’s technology and explain widely used terms and acronyms. We’ll talk about computers, the Internet and issues of access, privacy and security we’ll gain a real
understanding of today’s technology and perhaps even a peek at the future. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of how the pieces all fit together, and you’ll be able to use this knowledge as a springboard to enrich your life and keep you close and connected to friends and family.
Amy Rothberg is passionate about technology. A pioneer in networking technologies since her early days on the ARPANET development team, the precursor of today’s Internet, she has been a leader in virtually every aspect of the design, development, sales and support of technology products. Amy
holds a B.A. degree in computer science from Queens College of CUNY and an M.S. degree in technology management from American University.
