Transition after Treatment for Breast Cancer
Transition after Treatment Workshop
One evening program for women who have completed surgery, chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment for breast cancer in the last year.
Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Specialist, Amanda Kane, will talk about the lymphatic system and review the return to daily functional and exercise activities after undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She will share information about risks and precautions regarding the potential to develop lymphedema.
Margie Stohner, LICSW will facilitate the portion of the workshop. The group will share experiences of the post-treatment period and discuss common emotional, physical, and relationship conerns that may arise during this time. Coping strategies to enhance quality of life post-treatment will be discussed.
