Identifying the Red Flags of Heart Problems

Richard E. Rubin, M.D., will identify the risk factors for heart disease and teach us how to know when to seek the help of a physician. This informative session is for:

  • * People who have never had a cardiac problem, but are concerned
  • * People with high blood pressure
  • * People with diagnosed heart failure

Dr. Rubin is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine. Currently, he is Sibley’s cardiology service line director, chairman of the Emergency Department Committee and vice-chairman of the Department of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Rubin serves on a number of committees, participates in the Stroke Working Group and has been the chief of the cardiology section for 14 years.
Dr. Rubin received his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; he completed his internal medicine and cardiology training at Georgetown University. Dr. Rubin is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and maintains his private cardiology practice in Chevy Chase, MD.
