Primary Care at Sibley

Primary Care Physicians

A primary care physician often serves as the patient’s first point of entry into the health care system.  Primary care practices provide disease prevention services, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings. Physicians who specialize in family practice or internal medicine are also considered primary care physicians.  When necessary, your primary care physician can refer you to a specialist for treatment of certain conditions.
