Dr. Chernofsky completed a successful career in the United States Navy and served as an Attending Gynecologic Oncologist, Chief of Colposcopy Services, Co-Principal Investigator for GOG clinical trials, and Chief of the Cancer Care Committee at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Special Interests:
Ovarian cancer cytoreduction, endometrial cancer surgery, preinvasive and invasive disease of the vulva, vagina and cervix, gestational trophoblastic disease, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Barbara Robinson, RN
Mrs. Robinson has had experience in gynecologic nursing for more than 40 years and was formerly the head nurse in the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University. She is well known for her thoroughness, compassion and depth of experience.
Bintou Gamballa, RN
Ms. Gamballa was born in Senegal and is fluent in French. She has extensive experience in the 5-East Oncology unit at Sibley and is a certified oncology nurse. She is currently working both in the hospital’s postoperative unit and part-time in our office.
Sandra Soto, MA
Ms. Soto had extensive experience at Catholic Charities and is a valuable resource to our center. She assists the physician during office visits, can provide assistance during the week by telephone and she is fluent in Spanish.
Marie Josue, Office Manager
Ms. Josue is responsible for scheduling, insurance-related issues, and the management of our center. Financial and billing questions may be directed to her. She has extensive expertise with our electronic medical record—Touchworks.
