Past Positions:
Dr. Chernofsky completed a successful career in the United States Navy and served as an Attending Gynecologic Oncologist, Chief of Colposcopy Services, Co-Principal Investigator for GOG clinical trials, and Chief of the Cancer Care Committee at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
 
Special Interests:
Ovarian cancer cytoreduction, endometrial cancer surgery, preinvasive and invasive disease of the vulva, vagina and cervix, gestational trophoblastic disease, and advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She is also fluent in Spanish.
 

Antoinette Solnik, R.N., B.S.N.

Antoinette Solnik, R.N., B.S.N., is the Nurse Navigator at Sibley’s Center for Advanced Gynecologic Surgery.
 
In her role as a Nurse Navigator, Antoinette works closely with Dr. Lin and Dr. Chernofsky to provide additional support to patients. She acts as the educator and advocate from the time patients are diagnosed through their surgery and future treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation. Her clinical expertise and training provides guidance to patients and their caregivers so that they may make informed decisions on proceeding with next steps in their care. Collaborating with the Johns Hopkins Medicine multidisciplinary team, she assists with cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and increased supportive care across the cancer continuum.
 
Ms. Solnik received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators.
