Meet Our Specialists


Mitra Rauschecker MDMitra Rauschecker, M.D.

Mitra Rauschecker, M.D., lead physician of the Center at Sibley and assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, has called Washington, D.C. her home for over 15 years. She completed her medical degree and residency at Georgetown University and her fellowship in endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health and had specialized training in metabolic bone disease at Johns Hopkins. During her training, Dr. Rauschecker was recognized for her leadership, teaching abilities and innovative approach to patient care.

 

Deborah Sellmeyer MDDeborah E. Sellmeyer, M.D.

Deborah E. Sellmeyer, M.D., medical director, of the Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview and associate professor of medicine at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, completed her medical degree and residency at Johns Hopkins and her fellowship in endocrinology and metabolic bone disease at the University of California, San Francisco. She returned to Johns Hopkins in 2008 to establish the Johns Hopkins Metabolic Bone Center. Dr. Sellmeyer is an international expert in metabolic bone disease, with a focus on nutrition and lifestyle interventions to improve skeletal health.



Suzanne Jan de Beur MDSuzanne Jan de Beur, M.D.

Suzanne Jan de Beur, M.D., director of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Johns Hopkins Bayview and associate professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, completed her medical degree at Cornell University. Her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology were completed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is an international expert in metabolic bone disease, publishing extensively on mineral metabolism. Dr. Jan de Beur is frequently invited to speak internationally on skeletal health.
