Renaissance Building, 4th Floor
Located on the 4th floor of the Renaissance building, adjacent to the main Hospital.
If entering from the Main Entrance of the Hospital, walk beyond Admissions and continue down the hall, past the Outpatient Procedures Suite. The 1st floor of the hospital turns into the 4th floor of the Renaissance Building. Go to the left of the elevators and continue to the end of the hall.
If entering from the Renaissance Building entrance, take the elevators to the 4th floor. Upon exiting the elevator, turn left, then make an immediate right to find the office located at the end of the hall.
The Sibley Center for Gynecologic Oncology and Advanced Pelvic Surgery was established in 2006 and is directed by Jeffrey Lin M.D., one of the leading gynecologic oncologists and gynecologic surgeons in the Baltimore-Washington area. He was joined in 2009 by Mildred Chernofsky, M.D., an experienced gynecologic oncologist and a leader in military medicine. She had 14 years prior experience in the U.S. Navy and served as a staff surgeon and principal investigator in the Gynecologic Oncology Group at Bethesda Naval Hospital/Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Our mission is to provide the most thorough and effective surgical care for women with gynecologic cancers and other complex gynecologic problems by using innovative surgical techniques supported by the best technologies. We believe in treating each patient and their family uniquely, supporting their needs to arrive at the best possible outcome.
Who we Treat
We treat women with gynecologic cancers, including:
- Fallopian tube cancer
- Vaginal and vulvar malignancies
- Gestational Trophoblastic Disease
Additionally, we treat women with other gynecologic conditions, such as:
- Severe Endometriosis
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse with Urinary Incontinence
- Problematic Uterine Fibroids
- Cervical and lower genital tract dysplasia
- Benign ovarian tumors
- Severe pelvic infections and abscesses
We offer continued follow-up and support to our patients and work closely with the patient’s physician. Although most of our patients are referred by other physicians, we accept patients without referrals.
