Sibley Presented at the American Hospital Association Conference

August 20, 2013

[July, 2013] Deborah McDonough, Director of Quality, Sibley Memorial Hospital presented Sibley’s HARM Across the Board (HAB) story and improvement journey at the 21st Annual Health Forum and the American Hospital Association Leadership Summit. This poster presentation was selected among numerous hospitals nationwide based on its excellence and improved outcomes for reducing harm and/or readmission rates.

Representatives from the District of Columbia Hospital Association’s (DCHA) Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) Representatives also attended the conference.  Sibley and all the DCHA HEN acute care hospitals are making improvements in five of the AHA/Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) HEN quality metrics.
The summit addressed the challenges of coordinating and managing care for patients and populations with industry experts offering new strategies and innovative approaches to improved outcomes. The Quality and Safety Roadmap sessions were designed to help HEN hospitals achieve high quality and safety.
