Hurricane Sandy Update: From Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System

October 29, 2012

Hurricane Sandy Update

From Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS):

There have been press reports that people will be ticketed or arrested for being on the roadways in Maryland during the storm. This is incorrect. Gov. O'Malley highly encourages all people to stay off the roads during the storm, however, essential personnel will be allowed on the road.

Sibley Employees:  Please be sure you have your Sibley ID with you to ensure there are no issues. For your safety, we recommend that you not drive in sedans when sustained winds exceed 40 mph. SUVs and larger vehicles should take additional precaution.
