Johns Hopkins Medicine Appoints Oncology Program Administrator for Washington, D.C. Region

Sibley Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment Sheila Evans, R.N., M.S., AOCN, as the oncology program administrator for Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) in the national capital Area. In this newly created role, Ms. Evans will be responsible for the development and oversight of clinical oncology programming across all JHM locations within in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Ms. Evans will have offices both at Sibley Memorial Hospital and in the Cancer Program Office at the Suburban Outpatient Medical Center and will collaborate with staff at both hospitals. She will report to Irene Gage M.D., medical director of oncology for JHM in the national capital area.
Ms. Evans worked at Sibley Hospital for 10 years as the director of oncology services before leaving to lead an initiative with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to expand the cancer program in the U.K. She returned to Sibley in 2011 as the oncology service line administrator. She is certified by the Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) and has a bachelors in nursing from Pennsylvania State University and a masters in nursing from Rush University.
