Dr. Susan Stein is a board certified general surgeon and colorectal surgeon.  She completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Illinois School of Medicine in 1982.  She has been nominated as a "Top Doctor" in Washingtonian and Checkbook magazines.  Dr. Stein practices Colorectal surgery exclusively, which includes the diagnosis and treatment of colon, rectal and anal problems.  She is particularly interested in problems of the pelvic floor and anal canal. These include treatment of hemorrhoids, infections, gastrointestinal cancer, fecal leakage, constipation, and anal bleeding by both medical, surgical, and endoscopic approaches.
