Sibley Center for
Rehabilitation Medicine

The Sibley Center for Rehabilitation Medicine provides services to inpatients (both in the hospital and in our skilled nursing facility) and to outpatients. Sibley’s comprehensive, state-of-the-art Center for Rehabilitation Medicine is on the first floor of the Sibley Renaissance Building.

Your physician will provide you with a prescription for outpatient therapy and provide a diagnosis and expectations for improved outcomes.  A therapy evaluation is scheduled and an individualized treatment plan is prepared.  Therapy programs generally consist of two to three sessions per week for six to eight weeks.  During the process, a re-evaluation is made in consultation with your referring physician and a determination is made to continue therapy or discharge with a home program.

Sibley also provides rehabilitation services to many assisted living facilities in the community.  These include Grand Oaks (located on Sibley’s campus), Sunrise on Connecticut Avenue, Brighton Gardens at Friendship Heights and Fox Hill Senior Living Community.
