Club Memory - Providing Hope for People Living With Early Cognitive Impairment

Club memory is an informal social organization for memory and cognitively impaired individuals and their caregivers. Our purpose is to provide hope for people living with early cognitive impairment.
Who: Club Memory is open to people experiencing a form of cognitive impairment, their caregivers, family and friends.
We welcome those in the early stages of cognitive impairment to include Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), various types of dementia such as Alzheimer's Disease, Vascular Dementia, Frontal Temporal Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.
Club Memory is not an Adult Day Care program. The Club is for those able to drive themselves or be accompanied by a caregiver during their visit to the Club.
The Club is an "open house" model with independent activities for those seeking information, resources, and fellowship.
This program does not provide medical care and will meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month, except for major holidays.

Senior Cinema Thursdays

The Cool Place To Be
Sponsored by the Avalon Theatre in partnership with the Sibley Senior Association and the Methodist Home

Mark your calendars for the third Thursday of each month to see the Avalon's current feature on the big screen. Meet new friends, have breakfast before or lunch after the movie in the Avalon Cafe, and enjoy a morning of entertainment.

We are grateful to the Methodist Home for offering transportation. However, because so few people have taken advantage of this service, we are discontinuing it for the present.

Discounted price available
Third Thursday of the Month, Avalon Theatre, 5612 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC, showtime at 10:30 a.m.
