Imaging Services

Sibley Hospital's Imaging Department along with the Center for Breast Health provide a full array of diagnostic and interventional services.

All of these services are provided at the main hospital and offer state of the art imaging in a comfortable community hospital setting.

Some of these technologies include:

PET/CT - the first PET/CT scanner in the Washington area, our facility is now registered with the National Oncologic PET Registry.
Multislice CT - Sibley currently has a 4-slice CT canner and will be adding a 64-slice scanner in the summer of 2006.
MRI - The Gwendolyn Cafritz MRI suite features 2 high field MRI scanners capable of the latest imaging techniques including breast MRI and interventional procedures.
Minimally invasive procedures including vertebroplasty and uterine artery embolizations.

Images at Sibley Hospital are all digital, stored electronically and read by our board certified radiologists on special high-resolution monitors. These same images are available on line for review by your physician (staff physicians only) throughout the hospital or their offices.

Radiologists’ services are provided by Groover, Christie & Merritt, P.C., one of the oldest radiology group practices in the United States.
