What do you do if you think someone is having a stroke?

Stroke Response

For warning signs of a stroke, remember the word F.A.S.T.
F:  FACE: Facial droop, uneven smile
A:  ARM: Arm numbness, arm weakness
S:  SPEECH: Slurred speech, difficulty speaking or understanding
T:  TIME:  Call 911 to activate the Stroke Response Team
If you think someone may be having a stroke, call 9-1-1 immediately!
Time is essential in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke. The best chances of survival and recovery are if a person gets treatment within 3 hours. Do not waste any time.
TIME LOST IS BRAIN LOST. Have the ambulance go to the nearest certified stroke center.
It is important to know the warning signs of stroke and teach them to your friends and family. If someone is having a stroke, call 911 immediately! Time lost is brain lost!
