About the Team
Lauren K. Dickstein, Au.D., CCC/A, is the Senior Audiologist and Newborn Hearing Screening Program Supervisor at Sibley Memorial Hospital. She has been serving the community since 2002 and has been with Sibley since 2005. Dr. Dickstein received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology at the University of Maryland, College Park, and later went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences. She believes in empowering her patients to be their own advocates and helping them to achieve their communication goals. Dr. Dickstein is licensed in the District of Columbia and certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Daniel Weinstein, M.S., CCC/SLP, is the Senior Speech-Language Pathologist at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He obtained a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and completed a clinical fellowship at The George Washington University Hospital. Daniel specializes in voice, swallowing, and head and neck cancer rehabilitation, and performs modified barium swallow studies (MBS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing (FEES) for both inpatients and outpatients at Sibley. He is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a member of the Special Interest Group in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders, and is a certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) LOUD clinician. Daniel is also a member of the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders.
